ORLANDO, Fla.– Downtown Orlando is set to host an exciting, high-energy weekend February 6–8, 2026, with a full lineup of arts, culture, sports, and community events. From large-scale chalk murals and art installations to sporting events and pet-friendly festivities, thisweekend offers something for everyone.
Weekends like this play an important role in strengthening downtown Orlando’s economy, bringing residents and visitors together to support local businesses, cultural organizations, and sports and entertainment venues. DTOLive Chalk Festival Brings City Hall Plaza to Life
The City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board, in partnership with United Arts of Central Florida, invites the community to experience the inaugural DTOLive Chalk Festival, taking place February 6–7, 2026, at City Hall Plaza from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This free, two-day festival will showcase more than 30 professional and emerging artists creating large-scale chalk murals - both 2D and 3D - transforming the plaza into a vibrant open-air gallery. Guests can also enjoy interactive chalk zones, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
The festival aims to highlight artistic talent, increase downtown foot traffic, and celebrate the creative spirit that makes downtown Orlando a dynamic destination.
Art, Sports, and Special Events Across Downtown
Adding to the excitement, IMMERSE Fest brings an all-new luminarium by the internationally renownedArchitects of Air, created by artist Alan Parkinson. The architectural wonder opens on February 5 at the Frontyard of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, offering guests the chance to explore the installation ahead of IMMERSE weekend crowds. - Orlando Magic vs. Utah Jazzon February 7, will bring thousands of fans into the downtown for basketball. Arrive early for live music, interactive games and prizes outside the arena.
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child:Now - February 15. Guests can experience thewizarding world of this record-breaking hit and winner of six Tony Awards at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
- Downtown Historic District Architectural Walking Touron Friday, February 6, will offer a free guided look at some of downtown Orlando’s most iconic and historic buildings.
- Paws in the Park at Lake Eola Park– Florida’s largest pet festival is returning on Saturday, February 7 at Lake Eola Park, benefiting Pet Alliance and celebrating the region’s animal-loving community.
- SWAG "The Art Experience"- T.Gaines Entertainment, in partnership with the City of Orlando and Orlando Downtown Development Board, and hosted by District 5 City Commissioner Shan Rose and community partners, proudly presents SWAG: The Art Experience on Saturday, February 7, at the brand newART²space located at 247 North Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando. With the tagline “Where Art Meets Vibe,” this free Black History Month celebration will bring together art, music, style, and community for an elevated cultural experience.
- Orlando Farmers Market at Lake Eola Park– a Sunday favorite featuring fresh produce, local food, and artisan goods.
