Mobile Resilience Hub

The City of Orlando is excited to announce the launch of our new mobile resilience hub, REACH Hub, a game-changer in how we support our community before, during, and after extreme weather events.

In partnership with UCF, the National Science Foundation and Metrolab, the REACH Hub will be used throughout the year as a portable education stand to promote resilience topics such as healthy food and the city's free tree programs to mitigate extreme heat.

It also offers a mobile solution to helping residents recover after a major weather event. The portable trailer can be delivered to a community in need to provide off-grid solar power for residents to charge cell phones, access free public Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and more.

Resources like the REACH Hub, help us build upon the city’s ongoing resiliency efforts at our neighborhood centers, including our Tables of Connection, to help educate, support and provide critical services and resources to our residents with the greatest need.
