Lake Orlando Parkway Separated Bicycle Lane Quick-Build Project

The City of Orlando is implementing a quick-build separated bicycle lane and intersection improvements on Lake Orlando Parkway from North Lane to Long Road.

Quick Builds use flexible, temporary materials to create safer spaces.

This project runs along Lake Orlando Parkway from North Lane to Long Road, as shown in the map below.

Map showing the project limits highlighted in blue along the shoreline of Lake Orlando, extending between Rose of Tralee Way on the west and North Orange Blossom Trail on the east.

This project includes:

  • Vertical bike lane protections using low-profile traffic separators to separate bicyclists and vehicles.

The objective of this improvement is to increase bicyclist safety along Lake Orlando Parkway.

  • Pedestrian and bicyclist connectivity and comfort
  • Travel options
  • Speed management
  • Safety
  • Public use
  • Business exposure
