Bumby Avenue Safety Improvements

The City of Orlando Transportation Department is making safety improvements along Bumby Avenue from Colonial Drive to Corrine Drive in response to community concerns about speeding and pedestrian safety. These upgrades are part of the City’s Vision Zero initiative, which aims to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries.

Planned Improvements:

  • Raised crosswalks at the intersection of Bumby Avenue and Jamie Circle to slow vehicles and improve pedestrian visibility.
  • Speed tables near Montana Street and Weber Street to encourage safer driving speeds.
  • All-way stop at the intersection of Bumby Avenue and Virginia Drive to enhance safety for all road users.

These improvements are designed to make Bumby Avenue safer for drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and the surrounding community.
