Request a Private Group Class at the Pottery Studio

Would your school, business, club or community like to take a group pottery class?

The Pottery Studio can host private workshops for groups of 10 or more. Build teamwork through creativity in a relaxing, engaging environment. Children's and adult classes are available. These classes offer fun hand building projects. Wheel throwing is only offered as individual signups through our regular class registration system.

Step 1.Check your eligibility

Private classes and workshops are only for groups of a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 20. For larger groups, please email jason.sugiuchi@orlando.gov to check availability.

Step 2.Request a class

Please have multiple dates prepared, in case there is a conflict.

The Pottery Studio is open Monday through Saturday for classes and workshops during the following times: 

  • Monday through Friday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Step 3.We will schedule your class and give you a fee estimate

We will contact you to finalize your class details. We require a non-refundable $25 deposit to hold the date for your group. Final payment is due at the end of class and the deposit will be applied to the total.

Important information for private groups

  • All private classes are hand building projects.
  • Food and alcohol are not allowed.
  • Hung decorations or items attached to walls are not allowed. Balloons attached to weights are acceptable.
  • The final headcount must be communicated within 3 days prior to the class.
  • Private classes include project instruction and glazing.
  • Projects need to be dried and fired in our kilns after the class. You will receive a call in 2 weeks to let you know when your projects are ready for pick up.
