Submit Your Documents for Permit Closeout

Do you need to close out your permits at the end of your project?

It is important to close your permits as soon as construction is completed to avoid problems when selling or developing your property in the future.

Submit wastewater clearance holds by using the FDEP Wastewater Clearance form.

Keep in mind:

  • These are not submitted via ProjectDox (digital plan review system).
  • Initial submittals are done digitally by emailing closeout@orlando.gov the PDF and CAD files.
  • After digital reviews are approved, two signed and sealed paper sets and digital files on two thumb drives are required before you can schedule final inspections or get a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) or Certificate of Completion (CC).

Step 1.Prepare your submittal package

  • As-Built Checklist: Required for most projects that request as-built drawings and supporting documentation at project completion.
  • Complete the As-Built Checklist

  • Stormwater CCTV Checklist: Required only if your project includes stormwater or underground utility work requiring CCTV video inspection and verification.
  • Complete the CCTV Checklist

Step 2.Submit your digital email submittal

Email closeout@orlando.gov the following:

  • PDF and CAD files
  • Completed As-Built Submittal Checklist
  • EOR Certification Letter

For large file sizes, email closeout@orlando.gov for submittal options.

Step 3.We will contact you

After you submit your documents, we’ll email you a confirmation that includes your review due date. Due dates are typically set at 10 business days.

Step 4.Check your review status

Review due dates, comments, and status can be found using the Permit Lookup tool.

Step 5.Submit your hard copies

After your digital submittal has been reviewed and approved by all review disciplines, submit two hard paper copies of the following:

  • Signed and sealed (wet or raised seal only) plans
  • Thumb drives with the PDF and CAD digital files
  • EOR Certification Letter
  • Stormwater CCTV items (for projects that include stormwater or underground utility work only)
  • Completed As-Built Submittal Checklist

Step 6.We will contact you

Upon complete approval, the document hold will be removed and the final inspection can be scheduled.
