Motorists are advised that the intersection of Curry Ford Road (State Road (S.R.) 552) and Bahia Avenue/Dixie Belle Drive in Orlando will be partially closed overnight from 9 p.m. Monday, November 3, to 7 a.m. Monday, November 4, for emergency repairs to the traffic signal.
During the closure, the City of Orlando, in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), will remove a damaged traffic signal mast arm and install a temporary traffic signal. The temporary signal will be in place until permanent repairs can be made.
The traffic signal will not be operational during the emergency work. Traffic will be impacted, and detours will be in place as follows:
Westbound Curry Ford Road: Through traffic may continue westbound. Drivers will be permitted to turn right onto northbound Bahia Avenue. From northbound Bahia Avenue, motorists can turn right onto La Costa Drive to access South Semoran Boulevard (S.R. 436). Drivers can then head south on South Semoran Boulevard to reach Curry Ford Road. Left turns onto Dixie Belle Drive will not be permitted, and traffic will be detoured west of the intersection.
Eastbound Curry Ford Road: Drivers will be directed to turn right onto southbound Dixie Belle Drive, then turn left onto East Grant Street. From there, drivers will turn left onto South Semoran Boulevard, then turn left again to return to Curry Ford Road.
Northbound Dixie Belle Drive: Northbound Dixie Belle Drive will be closed at the intersection. Motorists will be directed to take southbound Dixie Belle Drive, then turn left onto East Grant Street. From there, drivers will turn left onto South Semoran Boulevard, then turn left again to return to Curry Ford Road.
Southbound Bahia Avenue: Drivers heading south on Bahia Avenue approaching the intersection will be required to turn right onto westbound Curry Ford Road.
