Mayor Dyer will be cheering on the women of the Orlando Pride as they take on New York’s Gotham FC, doubling down their pursuit of a spot in the finals and a chance to become only the third team in NWSL history, and the first since 2019, to win back-to-back championships. As Orlando’s first-ever championship team, the Pride have made history for our city, and the community is encouraged to come out, show their support, and help cheer them on to another title.

10:30 a.m. - Orlando Fire Department Station 6 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Mayor Dyer will join District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz and Interim Fire Chief Jason Revoldt to celebrate the grand opening of the new replacement Orlando Fire Department Station 6, nicknamed “In the Air on the Ground,” with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Located near the Orlando Executive Airport, the new station marks the completion of a multi-year effort to provide modern, state-of-the-art fire facilities across Orlando’s neighborhoods, joining Fire Station 9 and Fire Station 11.
3:30 p.m. - Kevin Tyjeski Sign Unveiling
Kevin Tyjeski Park, 90 East Livingston Street
Mayor Dyer and District 5 City Commissioner Shan Rose will unveil a new history sign at Kevin Tyjeski Park spotlighting the impact of the late City of Orlando planner, who spent 18 years helping to guide development in the community before passing away in 2013. This sign ensures future generations understand his contributions to the city as a champion for excellent urban planning and design in The City Beautiful.
