The Florida Department of Transportation provided the following update on the partial closure of Amelia Street Railroad Crossing East of I-4 in Orlando.
- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advises motorists of a partial closure of the Amelia Street railroad crossing just east of Interstate 4 (I-4) in Orlando. This single lane closure is scheduled for 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, so that SunRail railroad crossing improvements can be made.
During the railroad crossing work, motorists should remain alert in the area, follow posted signage, and expect delays. Pedestrian access will be impacted as the crosswalk on the west side of the crossing will also be closed during this time.
The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
