Request a Commercial Sewer Connection

Do you want to connect your commercial property to the City of Orlando sewer system?

The Water Reclamation Division owns and maintains a sewer collection system in many areas of Orlando and parts of unincorporated Orange County.

For system failures, please have your contractor complete a engineering permit application.

Step 1.Estimate Your Commercial Connection Cost

Review our fee schedule for connecting to the City sewer. Commercial projects may include the following fees:

  • Commercial Sewer Impact Fee: Review the Sewer Impact Fee Guide for current rates and details.
  • Commercial Sewer Lateral Construction: Estimated by the Water Reclamation Division

Step 2.Check your sewer availability

Before applying, you must confirm if a City sewer connection is available at your property. Complete and submit the availability form, and our sewer connection team will review your request within 10 business days.

Use this form if:

  • Existing commercial property: You are already operating a business and want to connect to City sewer.
  • Property in Orange County: Your property is located in Orange County but is served by the City of Orlando sewer system.
  • New construction: You need sewer availability information or a letter of sewer availability for cost estimates. (Note: The connection process itself will be handled under the master construction permit.)

Step 3.Complete your sewer connection application

Once approved, you will receive a Sewer Connection Availability Response. If you wish to move forward with connection, an Engineering Permit will be required.

New construction within the City of Orlando: A separate engineering permit application for sewer connection is not required. Sewer plans are submitted under the master new construction permit for review and fee assessment.
