Do you need a door alarm for your home?

The Orlando Fire Department can install Community Care door alarms for city homeowners that live near large bodies of water to help protect their children from drowning.

Step 1.Check your eligibility

  • You must be a City of Orlando homeowner. To check if you live in city limits, click here.
  • You do not have any working door alarms in your home.

Please note:

  • All requests are first-come, first-serve and are based upon availability.
  • Due to the high-volume of requests we receive, it may take up to four (4) weeks to respond to your request.

Step 2.Send us a request

Please make your request at least four (4) weeks in advance of your desired appointment date.

Keep in mind: We are only able to provide two door alarms per household.
