City of Orlando Kicks Off Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Budget Process

WHAT:
The City of Orlando will begin its FY 25/26 budget process with a work session on Monday, July 14, 2025. Under Mayor Dyer’s leadership, the city will present a proposed balanced budget that does not raise the millage rate and continues to focus on maintaining and delivering core municipal services that residents depend on. It will also highlight Orlando’s continued commitment to provide an exceptional quality of life, further ensure a safe community, offer opportunity for all and invest in infrastructure projects and more multimodal transportation options.

Following the budget workshop, public hearings with the opportunity for public input will take place in September, with the final hearing and vote to adopt the proposed budget scheduled for September 22, 2025.

Mayor Dyer and the Orlando City Council will participate in the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 annual budget workshop presented by Michelle McCrimmon, City of Orlando Chief Financial Officer.

First public Budget Hearing to adopt proposed millage rate for Fiscal Year 2025/2026 and establish a tentative budget and Capital Improvement Program.

Monday, September 22, 2025
5:01 p.m. – Budget Hearing #2

City Council Chambers, City Hall, 2nd Floor

Final public Budget Hearing to adopt the millage rate for Fiscal Year 2025/2026 and set the budget and Capital Improvement Program.

Wednesday, October 1, 2025
Implementation of fiscal year 2025/2026 adopted budget.
