ORLANDO, FL — May 30, 2025 – The City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board (DDB) recently approved the continuation of DTOLive, the award-winning arts and cultural activation program, for a second exciting season.
Following a highly successful first year, DTOLive will continue bringing hundreds of free, high-quality live performances to downtown Orlando, transforming public spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity and connection.
DTOLive celebrates local talent and enhances the cultural identity of downtown Orlando (DTO) by featuring musicians, performers, and artists throughout the week. While the program has evolved - with updated performance days and new locations - it remains committed to creating dynamic, spontaneous cultural moments that are accessible to all.
“With the renewal of DTOLive, we’re continuing to invest in the creative spirit that makes downtown Orlando so special,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “This program not only supports our local artists but also strengthens our economy, brings people together, and celebrates the cultural richness of our community.”
The newly approved program strategically focuses on the most impactful times and locations to maximize engagement and elevate the everyday downtown experience.
“DTOLive exemplifies our vision for downtown - a place where culture, commerce, and community come together,” said David Barilla, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Board. “By investing in programs like DTOLive, we are supporting local talent, creating memorable experiences, and fostering a vibrant urban core.”
In partnership with United Arts of Central Florida, DTOLive continues to align with the city’s long-term goals:
- Economic Vitality: Driving foot traffic and supporting local businesses.
- Community Connection: Encouraging spontaneous joy and shared experiences.
- Cultural Celebration: Showcasing the diversity and talent of the arts community.
- Accessibility: Ensuring the arts are free and accessible to all residents and visitors.
“DTOLive is an inspiring example of how public-private partnerships can enliven a city and make the arts part of everyday life,” said Jennifer Evins, President and CEO of United Arts of Central Florida. “We are proud to lead this program and support the creative professionals who bring it to life.”
